A Build Space for people making things on their own.
Siggu is an always-open Discord build space for unfinished work. Bring what is stalled, unclear, rough, or still becoming. Work alongside others, ask when needed, and leave enough context to return.
What Siggu is
Siggu is a build club for AI-era builders who want to make real things without building alone.
The name Siggu is inspired by the Korean word 식구 (食口), which means people who share food and stay in the same daily life. Siggu is not trying to make a family online. It tries to bring the feeling inside that word into Build Space: people checking in, looking after one another a little, and becoming someone you can lean on while building alone. So even when you are building a service on your own, you are not left entirely alone.
Siggu begins as a Discord-based build club. It is not a lecture series, demo day, networking group, or passive online forum. It is a place for people who are already trying to build something and need rhythm, feedback, trust, and people who remember what they are trying to make.
Why builders need it
Many builders are not short on tools. They are short on presence. They have projects, prototypes, branches, notes, and unfinished ideas, but no open place to bring them back into motion.
AI can help you start, draft, code, design, and ship. It cannot remember your work for you, ask whether you came back, or make the work feel less lonely.
How Build Space works
Build Space is an always-open Discord space for that problem. Members can drop in with unfinished work, work quietly alongside others, ask for help when needed, and leave enough context to continue later.
Some days you ship. Some days you only get one thing unstuck. Some days you simply find your way back to the work. All of that counts.
What Siggu protects
Siggu tries to make a space people want to return to: a place where they can focus, trust the people around them, and bring unfinished work and honest questions.
A builder should not have to perform confidence just to belong.
Who hosts Siggu
Siggu is hosted by Jongjin Choi and Hyekyung Hwang. Their lived experience with community shapes how Siggu treats people, work, and the standards behind the Code of Conduct.
